Sensei Simon Hewings is a visiting instructor. Simon started Jitsu
in 1995 at Kingston University Jitsu Club. After moving back to Sussex he trained for his brown belt at Crowborough Jitsu Club. In 2001 he started teaching at The University of Brighton Jitsu Club. He has been a Second Dan since 2007 and was promoted to Secondary Tutor in February 2011.
Yella Martin started Jitsu in London in 2003. She taught at Moorgate Jitsu Club between 2006 and 2010. After moving to Hove in Summer 2010, she has set up Brighton and Hove's first town club
with Simon.
Andrew McKaskill joined the Brighton Jitsu Club last
year after a long break from Jitsu travelling for his education and for work. He started his training up in Edinburgh
and quickly progressing to brown belt, where you become an instructor grade.
It's great to have a number
of senior grades present as they are great educational training partners.
